Data Deletion Request

Last Updated: 9th November, 2025

At Gymtuition, we respect your right to control your personal data. If you wish to remove your information from our servers, you can do so directly within the App or by contacting us manually.

1. Deleting Data via the App

Registered users can manage their data directly within the Gymtuition application. We offer distinct deletion options to give you control over what is removed from our cloud servers versus what is kept on your local device.

Option A: Delete Account

For Registered & Logged-In Users

Selecting this option will perform the following actions:

  • Server User Data: Your account details (email, username, password) will be permanently deleted from our server.
  • Server Workout Data: All synced Exercises, Routines, and Logs will be permanently deleted from our server.
  • Local Data Choice: You will be asked if you want to keep or delete the data stored on your device. If you choose to keep it, you can continue using the app as an unregistered guest.

Option B: Delete Data

Selecting this option allows you to keep your account but wipe your workout history from our server:

  • Server User Data: Your account details will remain active. Your subscription status will not be changed by this action; subscriptions are managed separately via the Google Play Store.
  • Server Workout Data: All synced Exercises, Routines, and Logs will be permanently deleted from our server.
  • Local Data Choice: You will be asked if you want to keep or delete the data stored on your device.

2. Manual Deletion Request

If you cannot access the application, or if you have uninstalled the app and wish to ensure your data is removed from our servers, you may submit a request via email.

Please email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

Please send this email from the address associated with your Gymtuition account so we can verify your identity. For security, we may request additional verification if needed. We will process your request and permanently delete your account and associated data within 30 days of verification.

3. Data Retention and Backups

Once a deletion request is processed, your data is permanently removed from our active databases. Some data may remain in our secure backup systems for a limited period (up to 30 days) for disaster recovery purposes before being automatically overwritten.

Backups are stored on Google Cloud Platform servers located in the United Kingdom and are used only for disaster recovery. Backups are not used for active processing. After the retention period, backup data is automatically overwritten and cannot be restored.

4. What We Cannot Delete

Please be aware that we cannot remove data that is stored solely on your device. If you choose to keep local data when deleting from the server, that data will remain on your device until you delete it locally.

5. Contact and Further Assistance

If you have any questions about deletion, or you need assistance, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to requests and enquiries as promptly as we can.
